There is a ‘rumored fountain’ in a well
Which is waiting for a ‘story’ to tell
The ‘story’ is baffling the whole nation
That how it could fool a people for twenty generation
The story tells that man tries to betray his fellow humans in every age
And he often does it through religious rituals, sometimes a prophet or a sage
And if he fears that his story gets caught
Then he creates a law that his feelings are getting hurt
Half truths are banal and whether one has eyes or not, can be seen by everyone
It is ‘elementary’ as one has to only know the difference between a new marble and an ancient stone
Half truths don’t need big arguments to disprove it
This time it surfaced when someone stretched his commonsense a bit
Memory has three colors, black for lie, grey to cover and truth for white
Here the truth is black, lie is white and it is just opposite
Those who might take time to realize
They may feel that their conscience will capsize
There is a new term ‘milord’ on the scene that I now hear
Men of wisdom who tell me about things what I, an average Indian, shouldn’t complain but bear
The milords as usual take their own time to separate the issue of ‘black and white’
Even if it drags and makes two generations loose their eyesight
Truth is simple and has surfaced from soil, air or water in every age
A new prayer building or a water body can never hide the past to make a history’s new page
Dirty water rubbed the stone for centuries and my pain is too big to capture in a single verse
But I wonder if it makes a difference as it rubbed against the one who absorbed the poison of the universe
Those who washed their hands and feet, even knowingly to purify themselves in that water
Didn’t they know that the sins of the forefather catches up with the descendants centuries later
What will it take to purify the mind and the soul of a people who may have done it knowingly
Which God will be upset more, ‘the only one’ or ‘the Baba’, that for some is the question
The truth is God is sad seeing the plight of his children
He wonders if his children will be able to live in peace after seeing the truth
There is a debate going on in heaven right now as to why man to man doesn’t heal and soothe
My heart knows this is not a physical fountain but I wish to turn it into a fountain of insight
One that gives courage and wisdom to some so that our future generation do not need to fight
For that we have to remove our blindfolds because everytime God does not give us a new eyesight
